He has been known as "The Slaughterer" ever since his time in the arena. While he was there, he slew all-comers pitilessly, mechanically, reducing them to sanguine carnage to the hungry acclamations of the callous crowds. Later, he was sold in bondage to a faithless band of lawless mercenaries lead by Korylis, their self acclaimed "Captain".
The Slaughterer; a man-beast, a killing machine, demands little in terms of weapons and armor. Above all, he values the speed and the agility to chase down and finish off all of those who flee from him. Life is cheap when its value is learned in the arena.
